So how did you even get into Tekken?

I was around 10 or 11. Me and a group of my friends went to one of their houses, and they were playing Tekken 3. I tried it out for a little bit, and since before hand everyone was picking Eddy(and Law), I played him first.

Since I was a big fan of martial arts, I was genuinely into the game.

Then a friend of mine got Tekken Tag, and I would play that with him a lot. Then I moved to a different state, and finally I got my own PS2 and got Tag for my birthday, so I would really play it a lot. And I was really getting into the game.

At first, I mained Eddy and Law. Then I dropped Law and used Hwoarang. While still interested in him, I would also often use Yoshimitsu, Anna, Gun Jack and Angel. Then I was really getting into Anna.

I dunno why I liked her so much, but I think it had to do with the way she dressed, especially her zebra outfit and this one other outfit she had. And I liked her move set better than Nina, which whom I also found cool looking, but wasn't crazy about her moveset.

If Anna wouldn't have been excluded from Tekken 4, I'd probably still be maining her now. By the time it got to Tekken 5, I was already into Christie and got interested in Raven.

I didn't actually start playing Julia until Tekken 6, since I use to play with my best friends locally(entirely different set of friends from the previously mentioned), and one of them mained Julia. And we had this silly rule that we weren't allowed to play each others favorite characters. xD

When Tekken 6 hit, we were all already living in different states, so I started using Julia.

I got a PS2 for my 8th birthday and SC2 and T4+TT1 and I couldn't even play either Tekken so I stuck with SC2.

I knew @ da time I liked usin girls like Xiaoyu and Talim and my cousins would make fun of me for it. I didn't even know Anna even existed until a few years later when I actually looked at the little booklet that usually comes with games, I could never unlock her though.

Since then I borrowed my nephews ps2 but by the time i really wanted to try and learn Christie in Tekken 4 the CD was so scratched it wouldn't even play.

Then I decided to look up Tekken 6 videos on youtube and the first time I really saw Anna I was like "I'm getting this just to play as her" which literally happened in 2010. That's when I really got into Tekken.

My cousin was showing off his PS1 and we played pretty much every game, then he put on Tekken 3 and my jaw dropped, I loved kung fu type films as a child so Lei was just perfect to me and then Xiaoyu and her movement was just amazing lol. I couldn't get it out of my mind so I was telling friends about it and then one of them said they have Tekken 2 and that they would lend it to me (probs to shut me up) and then I played it as Jun and beat arcade mode of the first time ever and never looked back.

But yeah, back when me and my bro were gettin the PS1 for christmas, there was an offer with it and u could pick 6 games, so we were given 3 choices each. I was like 5, so naturally I was drawn to anything colourful or something i recognised. I ended up picking Rayman, Bust-A-Move (Puzzle Bobble) and Casper. Luckily the good sis Jaycee blessed my brother with the wisdom to pick Tekken as one of his three games. He only "liked" it, but i got hooked instantly and played it more than all of my games combined.
I got all the other Tekken games on release day (or extremely close to it) after that.

I got a PS1 for the first time in 95 and went to a gamestore and saw some games. The only one that sticked out to me was tekken with the giant robot and glamazon Michelle on the cover.
So i went and bought it and took it home.
It was my first fighter ever but i got the hang of it with the pick up and play Michelle and instantly got hooked.

I've never owned a PS1. Well I did, but it wasn't until after I got a PS2 and I got the PS1 for free.

The first game that got me into ~gaming~ was Tekken 2. My dad bought it 'cause he a casual and his friend told him to get it or someshit.

I like adopted it from him and kicked his ass constantly and he never played it again.

I used to be obsessed with the story and reading the little character profiles and unlocking the endings and characters. I still am a massive tekken story geek.

I used to wake up at like 5am and sneak downstairs and just play tekken 2 until everyone else woke up.

I don't know how old I was, probably about 7.

When Tekken 3 came out I thought it was the best thing ever, the intro movie and the music just made my hairs stand on end and I used to scream and freak out and my friends would just look at me like

4 was when I actually started to play properly, thanks to the training mode which I really was into. That's when Xiaoyu started being my main (before then I just didn't have a main and played with everyone).
