SSX (2012)
Anyone getting this reboot? I know kagz is anyway.
This is just what this gen was missing, I always like to have a least one snowboarding game in my collection.
Tane looks like he's gonna be my mean choice of boarder..he's a hippy.

I'm still not all that hyped. I wish they'd show off some customisation...
I've seen people wearing different colours in one trailer, that's about it.
*shoots all the hippies*
Byatch, I'm the Chamonix Assassin.

Re: SSX (2012)
It doesn't change the course...
It's just an effect. It's horrible and is still in the game. In the demo builds they exhibited at the Bullring it was there. (I assume it was a demo, I only ever saw people play Kaori.) It's in the latest trailer too.
I think EA said they thought it would be cool to be able to change the course with it, but they wanted to see how it was recieved.

Are you sure?
I could be completely wrong. I do have a tendency to pay zero attention to things and then act like an expert.

Re: SSX (2012)
Oh, nevermind me... I thought it did in this video, at the jump around 0.55 there's the shockwave effect and u see the lighting for arrows on the ground and i always thought those were arrows for a jump but they were just there for the sake of being there
I still needs to go though, its hideous and i do not want to see that every time i do a damn trick...

Re: SSX (2012)
Yay! I pay more attention than someone xD
And yes it is fugtastic. I hate it so much. I remember when that trailer was released there wasn't a single positive comment, but they haven't changed it. They might have set it so it's just for ubers now, but still. Needs to go.

Re: SSX (2012)
There is no need to keep it in!!! Idc if it makes EA look like fancy programmers cos they can do it (one of the reasons water stages like to be in fighting games), get rid of it!!!!

Re: SSX (2012)
I hate when they do that too, like your average gamer won't appreciate the technical goods that game designers could..trying to think of a game that made me think that before.
I haven't really been paying much attention to this lately, I just think it will be good tho.

Re: SSX (2012)
It has been toned down, but its definitely still there >.<
I was watching the latest gameplay vids on gamespot.
SSX finally feels like SSX now. Like all the zany shouts to the other riders! There's more awesome uber tricks. Everything seems just awesome. Not to keen on how much people rely on the wingsuit in races, but it probably feels awesome!
HYPED!

I don't see why they wouldn't. I mean they did already tour with a demo build.

*bumps how the snow bumps after landing a 6x backflip Sugar Rush*
This game is probably worth getting, it's great fun to play, and on the whole very easy to pick up.
It makes a great use of asynchronous online play too. Even in the game's single player "Explore" mode, you get a rival shown up on the leaderboard whom you can beat the ghost of. Once beaten they're alerted and your ghost goes into their game. You can battle like that endlessy one-upping each other on any run on the game. It does lack true head-to-head multiplayer but you can create private events to play against your friends on, so I'm kind of over that.
It is also on the other hand, the singlemost frustrating and badly thought out game I've ever played in some sections.
P.S. It's an easy platinum trophy, but honestly, trying to get everything in it takes the fun away

Re: SSX (2012)
http://www.easports.com/ssx/news/article/two-new-ways-to-ride-with-free-ssx-update
This update brings new "3-2-1-GO!" mode... And Freeride.
Game is officially now perfect.
3-2-1-GO! is head-to-head, simultaneous multiplayer (races and trick events) which erryone has been asking for. It works pretty well and also works for Global Events, so you can do it with randomers. A countdown starts once 2 of 5 riders are ready, and anyone at the start gate can join into a session. The restriction is 5 players though for whatever reason, I think this is a little too few. I'm sure old SSX games always had 8 racers on track.
Freeride also works great. It's such a simple addition to the game. Literally it just turns the HUD off.
In doing so it makes you feel at one with the mountain. It's just you, the game's awesome soundtrack OR your own music, and dat white stuff. It feels so much different, I can't explain it. EA getting psychological on us.
Boscabator... Is it me or does the game feel faster since the update?

Re: SSX (2012)
I might get this game now cause i wasn't here for a snowboarding game without proper online multiplayer.
