Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
Personally, no. It's nice that they tried to spice her up and all, but it's just weird and makes no sense to keep it around. Maybe they can try to incorporate some Jaycee moves into Julia's moveset for future games, and maybe keep the outfit for custom purposes, but in terms of the character itself and personality, i think it needs to be removed with the quickness by the time T7 comes.

Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
etretrtsdfazgd4r I'm all conflicted inside.
Personally, I like the Jaycee persona, but I LOVE normal Julia. If she was made Jaycee for Michelle to return and possibly stay, then I'm gonna have to say yes, but I honestly don't know if Michelle will make the return for Tekken 7. I guess that depends on how people perceive Michelle and Jaycee in this game. If Jaycee and Michelle shine like the queens they are, then I believe they both should stay.
I like how they are showing an alternate side to Julia, but I believe she can have it without the ugly outfit and moves. It also kinda sucks because of how different she is compared to her old self, and a lot of fans (sorta me for one) adored her quiet but fierce character. Now its just exploiting her wild side and, in a way, making her kind of one-dimensional. Regular Julia, to me, is far cuter.
For me its stay Jaycee and include Michelle, or go back to normal goddess Julia and transfer her wrestler moves to the friend she was filling in for. Either way, Julia needs to show off her quiet but wild personality that her fans loved, because its disappointing that they wanted to exploit one straight forward personality trait.

Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
I would've said no if this was asked around time it was revealed Julia is Jaycee, I didn't really appreciate how her original fans got ignored in favour for the people who felt she needed something, but as time has gone on the Jaycee side of Julia has grown on so much that she is just Julia Chang having fun.
So im just gonna enjoy this side of Julia and if it stays good, but if it goes that's good too...as long as she herself is there.

They should make her act like both. In Tekken 7, she could have some or all of Jaycee's intro/win poses as well as some or all of old Julia's intro/win poses.
And her moveset is already old Julia enough.

That's another reason I want Jaycee gone and Julia back. I'd rather have Julia go back to T6 Julia and have the Jaycee moveset become more unique and different. I mean she can get away in TT2 by juggling with completely Julia moves. I cried when I foud out Julia was Jaycee cos I didn't want Julia to go, and then i cried when i saw how many moves they shared.

But we already got, like, two wrestlers. Do we really need a third one?
And Julia has always had wrestling moves.

Yeah mixing kung fu with lucha libre is a fun and unique thing, making her like full on wrestling is just :/..
Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
Where in my post did i say i want a wrestling moveset? I no tat naturally u'd expect a luchadore to get a wrestling moveset, but I just want a non-Julia moveset for Jaycee.
I probably wouldn't have minded as much of the Julia moves that Jaycee kept were the less often used moves, but the ones she has r big Julia tools.

Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
I think it was a genius move to introduce Jaycee as an alter ego of Julia's for TTT2, because it seperates her more from Michelle. Right at the start I was like, yes, this is why they're doing it. And (eventually) Michelle did appear.
Now in terms of Tekken 7, I don't expect to see Michelle back. I don't know what bullshit reason they could give us to justify her return, considering she's retired. Then again, they managed to bring back a ton of old characters in 5 who never expected to see again. So it's possible...
But either way, I think I would like to see Jaycee in 7 because I want to know about the story behind it. It'd add some depth to her character and story. Now she is not only an anti-mishima-zaibatsu eco warrior, but she's also a luchadore on the side! Also her allegiance with Armor King is interesting and he needs something more to his character as well, so having that character connection would be nice.
My last point, is that Julia is adopted. Meaning, this could be hearkening back to her blood lineage. Perhaps her biological mother was a mexican luchador?? More story potential, more character depth, etc.
I'm all in favour of it.
But they could simply just make it so that her 1p is Jaycee and her 2p is Julia Chang, or pull a Violet.

Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
It could be easy to give Michelle a reason to return, like she has some unfinished business or s/t. If she's popular enough I believe she deserves the chance for another canon game, though I'm not getting my hopes up. I at least hope she gets in TXSF, I don't want her to pull a quick return in one game and then leave again for another ten years.

I'm here for that idea too, It would really give her a character boost.

Or Namco can just be smart and not let story be any reason to stop a character from being playable in a game.

That could work. I don't care as long as she's still there.

KOF actually does let story dictate who gets in or not...
There are a few exceptions, but those r dream matchs, aka the TTT of KOF

Kof don't deserve credit for that at all, where is Chizuru?
Re: Should Julia stay as Jaycee for future games?
As a none Julia fan (not biased or anything) I can safely say making Julia, Jaycee is one of the best things they've done for that character...

Just being on the safe side... The quote button is so last season so it gets confusing as to who is talking to who...

Oh. Well the only KOF games I've ever really played are the Maximum Impact series. That installment had playable characters without a story. It was a little bit different than DOA. With these certain characters, you can play Story Mode, but there wasn't a prologue or ending for them.

Maximum Impact series is more like a spin off than a part of the actual series...
