Yes Jun, I dare defy fate. Empty Yes Jun, I dare defy fate.

Post by tsstevens October 19th 2012, 6:29 am

Hey all. I'm tsstevens, a blogger at TV Tropes and editor of video game content. I've been a huge Tekken fan for the past fifteen years, grew up with Jun Kazama and Tekken 2, Tekken Tag, huge fan of the series. Been playing Tag 2 for the past month and been busy earning money, unlocking items and fooling around with the customization options in the game much the same as I do in the Soul series, the WWE series, anything that has a strong customization option.

Outside of Tekken games having a peruse of the games on my shelf I'm into playing any form of Kinect or Wii games that use motion controls, the Arkham games, Nazi Zombies in Call of Duty, The Lost and Damned add on for GTAIV, the Mass Effect trilogy, Rock Band, Saints Row, Rainbow Six and UFC. Every now and then I go online to play with others but I know that I'd probably be a pushover, still when the urge hits I'm all for trying my hand at XBOX Live.

When I'm not busy getting my game on I enjoy looking after my baby girl, writing and editing on TV Tropes, I'm in the process of writing a novel, looking over anything Batman that is good such as The Dark Knight Returns, Youtube, bodybuilding, and enjoying shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Sons of Anarchy, Ringer, Buffy and Las Vegas.

Over the coming weeks and months I look forward to seeing what else I can discover about Tag 2, eagerly await Unknown being made playable, and discussing the series in general. In the meantime I'll try and capture some of the custom characters I used to put in my profile.

Welcome again, tsstevens! I like your signature.

I always find it funny if I'm fighting Jun with Zafina. Before the match starts, Jun says "You dare defy fate?" then Zafina says "Only I have the power to change fate." I'm like "BURN!".

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it here. Smile

What's good?

And what made you join here instead of Tekken Zaibatsu or somethin'?

What's good? Tekken of course. The customization options are good, it may not be as in depth as say WWE 12 but the results are ten times nicer, and certain original designs (notably Asuka, Leo and Christie) absolutely nail how I would design them in the proper game. Getting the bug to discuss the game, or work on images and videos, or write more of the novel I want to have published one day, that's good. Being able to take decent screenshots on the iPhone without having to hook up everything and use editing programs, that's good. Things like sports and wrestling when they're switched on, that's good. The Playstation 1 when we had not just Tekken but games like Formula 1 when it was in it's prime, that was excellent. Discovering the world of computers, that was good. Laughing at the discussion of what's good in Battlefield, that's good. And speaking of which, finding the right answers to the questions in life without being a jerk about it, that's good. Is there a god, if so which one? How best to care for my ten week old Cassie? Obama or Romny, or in my case Gillard or Abbott? But finding the answers to the really important questions, is it better to go in with a better fighter in Tag or use the knockback\revolver tactic, that's good.

As for why here and not Tekken Zaibatsu? At the time I was interested in hearing what tunes people liked to use in the game, I decided to do that myself and thought it was pretty tight. I wanted to see what custom fighters people had come up with. I wanted to see if anyone else thought the game cheats sometimes. And I wanted to discuss the game in general, how they've stuck to the same formula and not gone out and change it instead improve what was already a good game. What else there was to be unlocked or news of watch patches or DLC was on the way. And people's thoughts on Jun, someone else said it and I have to agree with them, becoming some death maiden. I may have come across TZ and if I noticed a forum there I might not have thought it was too active. Here though, there were people posting, the game was very new on home systems and I thought here was a good place. So here I am.
