DOA5 OST

Post by Alisassy on September 28th 2012, 4:11 pm

Firstly, i just needed a reason to post this and it needed a thread of its own.

Alexz

Nextly, can we discuss how this game has several good songs and then several songs that i wouldn't even use as toilet paper?
Idk, its nice that DOA finally has themes for stages, but i did like the character theme thing it had goin on too...

This is my favorite, and I like the rap songs they used (it's kinda refreshing) but this OST isn't as good as Dimensions' imo.

I haven't really listened to it but maybe it would have been a lil bit better if there were no lyrics.

The song for the Gym isn't even a Rap song. It's just a Hip-Hop beat.

I like it though, it's very chill and catchy. Reminds me of a song off of Jet Grind Radio. But the Rap song for the online menu needs to go. Sounds too much like Drake.

Can we just not agree that lyrics do not belong in fighting game soundtracks? At least not on tracks that are tacked onto stages.

You mean can we agree?

I do agree generally speaking. Meaning there are exceptions and/or it can be good if done right. But otherwise, I think slapping on a random lyrical song doesn't work for fighting games, or almost anything for that matter.

I wouldn't really say that Gym song has lyrics though. Just random background vocals. Although, it does seem to have a chorus line, so I guess that counts as lyrics. But there are no verses in that song.
