Re: The Random Thread
I have the money to get a new one, probably three new ones, but i don't wanna buy a new one cos i'd have to start everything over again. No thnx!
Besides, why pay near £200 to get a new one when i can pay £80 to get the one i have fixed with a year's warranty on it. And i only pay if it can be fixed.

Re: The Random Thread
Thats what i am going to do. But of course my dad (being a technician and what not for a living) wants to take a look at it first and see if he can fix it himself using all those internet tutorials.
My irl friend fixed his using the oven method so i'll tell him to try that one.
But i'm in no rush, i'll be startin to study for exams soon, and once those r over i'll be having a few nites out, so i won't be needin a ps3 until after 22nd Jan. Hopefully it'll be fixed if not near fixed by then.

Re: The Random Thread
Id rather buy a new one, and you can backup your data and trophies and put them on the new one.
Re: The Random Thread
Well your trophies get backed up no matter what since they're on your account, not your harddrive.

Re: The Random Thread
I can't back up my data if i can't turn on the ps3... Is there an easy way to just take all that data from one ps3 onto another? I dont think there is.
And i may still keep my trophy data, but i'll lose all the saved data, so i still have to start a game over if i wanted to plat it. I was workin on a DW7 plat and according to game guides that's 75+ hours to plat. I was nearly there (was at 57%, but the last trophies go hand in hand). I am not startin that again.

Seems like too much money... I'd rather just get it fixed and leave it at that.
