Eww no, there's only so many ways you could have the same characters doing the same thing. If MK was willing to do different characters with each game that could work, but that'd never fly. The closest we'd get would be a different realm defending itself against Shao Kahn, same baddies different goodies (minus Kitana cause she a hoe and all the other baddies that turn good) or Earthrealm defending itself from different threats, which is already the basic story of the entire MK franchise.

And speculating is all we have to pass the time until E3.

I pray it follows the story cannon of MK9 and I see Tanya freed and ready to fight.

I don't think I like that, but it could possibly be a nod to the 3D MK games... or it could be like Edition Select from USFIV.

Doubt it's like SF4's thing since its just balance changes.

Yeah, it defo wont be edition select SF4 style. MK hasn't had enough game to get that done.

Fighting style i never considered, and it would be interesting having to pick one and commit to it for the whole match, but i'd be even more worried about the roster and balancing then. NRS hasn't got the best track record in that department. I mean they can patch fairly quickly, but thats only nice when its used to get something thats actually broke

I hope they actually look like two different characters and not variants of the same person  

I was gonna say something like "that two new favourite statement probably means he has new favourites and its not actually new characters and he's gonna pretend he only just favved Scorp and Sub" but he actually said yes...

I'm kinda thinking they're not necessarily new, but new to the reboot or story or w/e.

No but serious, this looks great. And can we discuss how different that Scorps moveset was? I think the different versions is actually finna be different movesets cause like there no way they've added all that to the moves he already has. I mean idk how the spear will work cause i'm pretty sure the one he used was a meter burn version, but he already had a new projectile and toasty worked differently as a combo starter... possibly extender this time

So apparently they called D'Vorah and Ferra (little gal) & Torr (big guy)

OK, turns out 3 versions of Scorp and Sub were in that trailer

Its quite easy to spot at least two Scorps, as one has swords and the other doesn't. The third Scorp has a skull on his waist, which apparently causes the different toasty move.

Sub has frozen arms version, Lin Kuei medallion version and frozen mask version.

And the game is also 25 years after MK9. And Cassie Cage was announced. Daughta of Sonya and Jonny

The animation is actually a massive improvement.

From what I can see of her Cassie looks great, v Nina-esqe. Love how it's got a more fantasy feel. Kotal Kahn..he looks cool, but that name.  

And fyi, no need to go into the silhouettes. They're fake. I mean i could kinda tell something was wrong when the revealed 6 are all face on and the others have some angle to their body, but a silhouette on the bottom row is a pic of Obama
