Re: Pokken
I have no idea how Suicune and Pikachu will work since one's on all fours and the other is just small. Gardevoir's a good edition though, its good to see its not only gonna be fighting Pokemon.
idk how into this game I'll be tho. Maybe if Jynx is in but that's prolly unlikely.

Re: Pokken
They clearly been checking who are the fan favourites. .which is disappointing. .I was hoping they would be ignorant and throw in shit like Stunfisk and Tropius. Nice to see Suicune, but everything else is predictable. Slowbro might stand a chance tho.
Re: Pokken
I was surprised by Pikachu just because I assumed they were going to do fully evolved and/or fighting type Pokemon only.
Why hasn't Blaziken been shown yet though? He was in the very first teaser with Lucario.

Re: Pokken
Mess. The only thing remotely related to Tekken is Pikachu being Heihachi with that EWGF and hellsweeps. Judging from the gameplay, i can see how any pokemon could work in it. Makes sense as if they took traditional Tekken approach it would be messy and limiting to say the least. Name feels more like a way to promote Tekken if anything, am sure Pokemon doesn't need a piggy back like that to get sold.
And i must say my interest has gone immediately down in this game. When it sees consoles, if it has a hope of being couch multiplayer, it'll be split screen. But i can easily see this being solo offline only and online for multiplayer only.

Mix of 3D & 2D.
Pokken Tournament uses the round format commonly found in traditional fighting games. The characters are inside an arena surronded by an invisible wall. What's different though each game mainly consists of two phases.
One is where the Pokemon are free to move like in the typical Naruto & Dragon Ball Z fighting games. During this phase the characters can engage in projectile battles. However certain moves can trigger the Dual Phase, where players must engange in close hand-to-hand combat, and the camera shifts to the sides of the characters, like in 2D fighting games.

(Hoshino is in on this too, the next SC better start in arcades first or I know somethin)
Re: Pokken
It's basically a Naruto style game, which tbh suits Pokémon. I would so play this if I had a Wii U or w/e console sees it. I wouldn't be too shocked if it's arcade only..I mean that Mario Kart game with Pacman and other Namco characters was arcade only.
Re: Pokken
I would be highly shocked if this wound up arcade only. Mario Kart is a strange series in that only one comes out per console/handheld, so that can probably by why the arcade only version existed.
I could see this game being a money maker because Pokemon & real time battles. Obvs Wii U only or whatever, but arcade only? May as well be Japan only at that.

Re: Pokken
I don't know why, but Nintendo are rumoured to be working on the Wii U successor already lol. This is why I'm unsure if it's seeing a Wii U release for now. Harada is working on another Wii U exclusive too tho.
Re: Pokken
Lol, wat?
Why da Wii U getting so much love? *Forgets i have one and goes on a rampage anyway*

Re: Pokken
Let's cut him some slack, I mean Weavile has only been around since 2005.
EDIT: Actually let me be fair, 2006 for us westerners.

Re: Pokken
I expected you would at least assume it was Sneasel's evo tho. They are the most natural looking evo line going.
Re: Pokken
Your first mistake was assuming I would know what a Sneasel is.
