Killer Instinct

Did we not have a thread for this? I coulda swore we had a thread for this cause am pretty sure we all decided to praise the heavens when Maya was announced with ha flawless self, but when i search for "Killer" it comes up with nothing so w/e.

Anywho, starting to feel like I woulda caved to this game if it was on PS4 (but like i woulda caved along time ago just cause fighting game on PS4 (don't even bring up Injustice boo boos)) but mainly because of the music. Eugh. I can't deal.

Is it wrong i want to buy an Xbone, buy this game and then just not play it? Like leave it in training mode and sit back? Why do i want to do that instead of the cheaper alternative of downloading the songs?

But like am not gonna go start a petition for PS4 cause like i feel it'd just be another MvC3 to me (ie i buy it, i play it for two days, i let it collect dust)

So is that stage finisher the first time in this Killer Instinct it actually looks like someone died? Cause i mean they left out their version of fatalities and there dont seem to be much killing...

i actually forgot that was a thing in the old KI lol. I guess they either changed their minds with it gradually or they just didn't get the time to come up with creative kills.

The stage finishers i think are actually called stage ultras, so i guess it was dropped entirely.

Aria is amazing. I love her style and this got confirmed for PC. Why do I only have a shit laptop. (Actually it's not shit I love my lil bb)

My ears kinda picked up at the PC announcement, but i'm not much of a PC gamer... I think if i wanted to give the game a proper go i legit would be better off getting an XBone

Why she got a personality that making her an american high school snob that somehow stumbled into world saving importance? The voice and personality do not match the model at all.

I disagree that her model looks great, her colours are too loud and tacky and her face and hair look unfinished. Fighting style looks fine tho.

 

Maya was blessed tbh, she's the best female redesign by far. All the new females are great tho.

I don't even like KI but I don't get all the flack this character's design is getting. She doesn't look that bad and she said something about being a fashion student/martial artist or something. The colours are a bit garish but I still kinda live for them, and I can see her personality through her outfit because it's loud and daring and still has some of her martial artist elements in it too. She's giving me Jubilee teas tbh, being Chinese-American and being unapologetically outspoken and stuff.

Her face isn't terrible at all, I think you're just shocked because you're maybe seeing an Asian character who has at least some asian features for once (usually they look really white if I'm honest, I don't know how east asian gamers feel about this).

She's a tacky character and design, but I don't hate it. It's better than the original...which was...something...but such is the case when you have western devs create characters from other cultures. The original design is revolting.
