LOL.
What is it with these developers putting in these new characters when you have nicely developed oldies like claire and Ada.
Other than that this game looks awesome, way better than 5.
And big kudos to Ashley for not being useless this time around.

I never played a RE game, but this one looks good.
Is that 3 playable characters? New guy seems cool to me skinny and agile is how I like my characters.

Yeah, 3 playable characters. Each will have their own story, so u can't use the one character to complete the whole game.

Am likin the look of this game anyway, definitely seems to have upped the action element anyway, which i dont get why people r complainin about. The action style RE4 brought has worked wonders for RE and it makes for a fun game. This doesnt impact on the horror aspect the game for survival horror, thats an entirely different element.

@Whoreang
I reckon u should try them out, at least RE4 & 5 anyway. They r great. RE1-Code Veronica have the traditional survival horror game feel and RE4-RE5 have the same gameplay as RE6. If this game interests u u should at least watch or read up on the others for the story Resident Evil 3432338176

4 is on Gamecube, Wii, PS2, Xbox (?), PC and am not sure if its out yet but PS3 as well. Its one of the ps2 classics to get the HD remake treatment like Ico did.

And if u don't like the look of 5 then idk... Is 4 uninterestin to u as well? U could always dl the demo for 5 and try it out. The only thing that annoys me about 5 is Sheeva cos she can be a dumb hoe. In 4 u have Ashley, a dumber hoe that can't do shit but at least u can tell her to hide at times which is wonderful.

RE4 seems to have a cooler and more interesting setting, RE5 just looks like a full on action game and not at all scary..that's the only reason lol..i'm obsessed with settings, vibes and music in my games.

Speaking ahead
of Resident Evil 6's unveiling last night, Capcom UK's head of marketing
has defended the series' increasingly action-orientated approach,
pointing out that the controversial Resident Evil 5 is the most
successful entry in the franchise so far.

'We've seen the popularity of Resident Evil increase massively as the
series became more action-oriented - Resident Evil 5 is the biggest
seller in the series. So, it makes sense for us to follow this action
area more fully,' said Dave Turner to trade paper MCV.

Speaking specifically about spin-off Resident Evil: Operation Racoon
City, he added: 'The dream would be that the millions of Call of Duty
fans that are enjoying these fast-paced online games are attracted to
this Resident Evil.'
Omg this is just a bad mindset..

Whats the bad mindset? It sells so do it again and improve it?
There's nothing wrong with that (as long as you do it right, see SCIV & SCV). If its not broke, don't fix it. Ok, the diehard fans of RE may be anoyed its losing its horror routes, but its obvious that the game is selling and doin well. It would be different if it was gettin horrible reviews across the board.

Then bye bye originality?
No dev is gonna chance not adding in qualities that attract COD fans..i'm not that bothered cause I never played RE, but I feel bad for it's fans from years ago who want that classic RE game with the modern day technology.
Survival horror games don't really exist anymore it seems, I wouldn't know RE5 was meant to be one but only for the famous name.

Am, no... They r applying COD stuff to the RE spin off game (which has been known since its reveal to play nothin like the other games), and hopin that since they liked that game they will try out RE6. RE6 isn't gonna be the COD game.

And RE5 is still a survival horror. The survival aspect comes from the action, and it tries to have the horror elements still there. If RE6 went back to the routes of the old RE games, it would flop. They are way too slow now and the whole camera angle & movement issue would be bitched about to kingdom come. Ok, RE still has the same tank style movement, but now with the new camera placement it is much more fluid and easier to control. It also works better since it restricts ur view to whatever is infront of u.
Besides, horror games and horror films cannot work the same way. Apart from ur remote, u have no control over the movie. In the game, u actually have to overcome the stuff. If its too scary, they will turn it off where as a movie they can hide away momentarily or grit their teeth, let the scene happen and then the movie will continue.

Oh I see, well then I'm not sure what the RE fans are annoyed about really, I'm seeing a lot of RE fans acting liked they got two timed on by Capcom with COD fans. I guess there may be a slight elitism about it tbh, since everyone hates COD fans and they might be scared RE main game series will change along with their arrival.

From what i understand, almost every RE fan is annoyed with Operation Racoon City since it isn't a proper RE game and they have been annoyed with it ever since the first trailer popped up and everyone got an idea of what type of game it'd be.

I no some people r kinda mad with RE6 for keepin the same style that was introduced in RE4, but it works, y change it? if its because they see that style and think "action only, nothin scary", they need to go back to the older games, realise what the action has done for it and see how scary those were. its just nostalgia cloudin their judgement
