Re: PC Gaming Thread
What makes PC gaming appealing to you?
I think alot of the indie games do seem cool.

Re: PC Gaming Thread
Well there's the simple fact that PCs as of now are much more advanced than any console, since new PC hardware comes out all the time where as PS3 and 360 came out 6 or so years ago.
And, though it's illegal, you can get a lot of games for free pretty easily through downloads.

Tbh I'd hate having to make sure the pc can handle it, knowing the game also on ps3/360 would work for sure.
Re: PC Gaming Thread
Thats the big drawback about PC gaming though, u get left behind so quickly in comparison to the consoles...

Re: PC Gaming Thread
Like its really come a long way since Sims 1 in terms of what u can do and poop in terms of making it more lifelike, but there's still so much basicness to it.
I think what would really help is if they make time a bit slower. I no u can edit the aging times now so there's that way, but sometimes there's not enough to do with ur Sim during the day. When ur starting to go for the goals, ur sim pretty much needs to devote entire days just to get it done.
And the good beds r too good... They always fuck up ur sims sleep cycle unless ur willing to have that strict bed time

Re: PC Gaming Thread
A lot of the cool PC games are finding their way to consoles now, so fiinding less reason to bother with this again.
Re: PC Gaming Thread
I personally don't own any consoles, so PC is the only way to go. I've never had a problem with it, but I've always wanted to play Journey (PS3) and Shadow Of The Colossus (PS....2?)
Re: PC Gaming Thread
Anyone else play Mighty Quest for Epic Loot? Its a F2P game from ubisoft. It's in the open beta phase now, so there's still some things missing but its pretty good

Re: PC Gaming Thread
Never heard of it, I say a year and a half later.
I'm posting this here because originally it's a PC game, but it's coming to Wii U too. But it's basically a Metroidvania game, which I didn't know I loved until playing Guacamelee. Everything about this games art style and atmosphere is so perfect. I just love cute and creepy things.
I just adore Hollow Knight, they are like a Ghost/Bug type Pokémon that needs to exist outside of Shedinja

I just built my first gaming PC. It costed $2000, though it's main purpose is animation, 3D graphics and game development. Gaming is secondary.

Sounds hot. Not that it matters to how it runs or anything, but is it in a nice case? It needs to be in a nice case

You wouldn't need 2k for a good gaming PC. My PC's primary purpose isn't gaming, but rather 3D animation, rendering, and game development. That's why it's so expensive. Also, I should be more clear, the 2k is the entire budget I had, which included every little thing, like the desk, monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse and Windows 10. The PC it self is probably about $1700 after tax. The monitor was especially important since I'm dealing with visuals.
I got an i7 4790k cpu, which is overkill for just gaming and requires water cooling, so that added a lot to the expenses. For gaming, an i5 4690k would be $150 less than what I payed. So that brings it down to $1550.
I also have 16gb of ram. You really only need 8 for gaming. So -$50 or so for that.
So $1500 will get you a really good PC, but I think you can even make a good one for $1000, give or take.
