Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
Has anyone been keeping up with the new series Dragon Ball Super? Also, does anyone think Whis is gay? Not that I have a problem with it. Him and his sister (and the Destroyer Gods they look after) are among my new favorite characters.

no i haven't watched it... inda scared to ruin any memories i have of it, i loved it as a child and even though the Buu saga brought me my fave characters, it had so much trash. A baby part of me thinks the series should have ended with Cell saga

I've you managed to watch GT without having your memories ruined, then you should be fine with thin. =P
There's a few problems I have with DBSuper, but it's getting a lot better. It's 35 episodes in so far. But if you don't want to risk it with the show, at least watch the two latest animated movies. Those are good.

I know. Haven't seen the newer movies because I don't really like the art style.

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
I loved the Trunks movie (and the ENTIRE Android saga) it was so dramatic and it really made me like 17 and 18. I was never really following the story that much when I was younger, but I actually really liked GT beside the fact that Goku was a child.
Also thought the Goku Jr movie was... well it had some really cute parts.
Android Saga and Cell Games was the pinnacle for me. Also loved Buu Saga.

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
You guys know the two most powerful characters is currently a female and a (possible) gay guy? Dragon Ball has been lacking on the powerful female department. Also 17 and 18 have real names now.

I couldn't either. I got up to episode 15 and stopped. But I'm enjoying Dragon Ball Super even though I'm not crazy about the art style and music.

This new female Saiyan Caulifla is already exploding in popularity after only debuting a month ago.
And then there's Kale, who's basically a female Broly.

Why they named after vegetables?
Haven't been watching the show. Is it all Dragon Ball Super or is this a spin off? Animation style looks different

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
All full blooded Saiyans names are vegetable puns. You seriously never knew that?
Vegeta = vegetable
Kakarot = Carrot
Raditz = Radish
Broly = Broccoli
Etc...
And yes, this is Dragon Ball Super. The art style varies between episodes, which DBZ also did.

I feel like a glass has shattered... The name Planet Vegeta makes so much more sense now.
I never picked up the art style changing in DBZ. Maybe i ignored it, being a child in awe and all.

Yep, it's typical of long running animes due to budget and/or time constrains and different animators working on different episodes. It happens to Naruto too for example. Here's some DBZ examples.
And here's some very well animated scene of Dragon Ball Super.

I cant stand Gokus Japanese voice... If i wanna watch that show seriously i would need a dub, and in my old age ive grown to hate dubs. The struggle is real.

Dude, English dub right here. Of course, the dub is not up to date with the Japanese one, but it's already up to episode 21.

Oh finally I was kinda ignoring this because there was no dub and I also hate Goku's Japanese voice.
Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
This is like the best pick of Marcarita ever, even though she's a new character. I love this bad bitch already. She's such an angel (no really, she's an actual angel. I'm not just saying that as an expression of admiration).

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai/Super etc
It's funny you say that, because as an angel, she's the attendant of the God of Destruction Belmod who looks like this.
Here's a scene with her and him. She seems to talk sarcastically constantly, always ending her sentences with "yes?"

I initially got Lili vibes from this character, but then she transformed.
