Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
I guess this is the de facto DOA5 general thread.
ggs yesterday Aries.
I just don't understand why this game runs better online than TTT2. Both games run at the same frame rate and DOA 5 has better graphics.
Or maybe it's just because I'm more familiar with Tekken so I just notice lag more in that game.

Better graphics and a lot more going on in the stages.
But they use different netcodes so that might need to be taken into account.
ggs indeed your Christie is amazing.

Different as in better, right?
Then again, even though both games have tag mode, I think Tekken has more moments when there's more than 2 people on the screen at once. DOA doesn't have something like TA combos. All the team juggles that I've seen on DOA, there's only one character from a team on the screen at a time. Where as TAs on Tekken, character A will be attacking, but character B is still on screen.
Or maybe it's also the customizations Tekken also has to worry about loading on screen or something.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
DOA doesn't have its own server like Tekken, it's peer to peer meaning y'all probably have great connections

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Ya, TT2 is considerably better for me in general, especially when playin bosca. I find it hard to believe that TT2's netcode can be beaten, but i'd take a server with a more consistent connection among many players than a peer to peer connection that may only work great with a select few...

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Agreed. Every match I've had on doa has been terribly laggy. Its not ideal for wireless which sucks
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
SE was disabled in tag mode so people are thinking about making it the tournament standard.
I don't understand the guessing direction TN is going for solo mode but ok tho.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Hopefully tag does become the tourny standard. DOA tag matches r much more excitin to watch than DOA solo, the only sad thing is that the stages for tag don't make the most of the environments...
They need to get on that.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Seriously considering dropping Helena. Her move set doesn't seem to click with me. Maybe I'll try kasumi
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Bayman actually is the only one who's moveset is sticking w me and I'm v excited about it bc a male character's moveset hasn't stuck w me so well since Joe in KOFXIII.
and not to mention the new male booty shorts DLC giving me existence.

But does Bayman need that hideous chest wound that he should clearly still be in hospital for? It ruins everything about that none existant outfit and i mean everything

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Yeah, one thing that kinda annoys me is that there are no compatibility packs for the DLC.
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
They probably think it helps to sell them doing that. Tbh higher chance of me buying DLC outfits if I seen a friend with one in action.
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
I'll just keep him to myself then.
