Re: Saints Row IV
What?! I mean I love SR, but that just looks like an updated SR3. Is it even a new city?
Re: Saints Row IV
Sequels usually bring a very fresh look and atmosphere. This just looks like a modded SR3, that's what I'm getting at. I guess considering it was an expansion before..that may be why it looks so familiar.
I'll probably still get this though..just need to see what more they are doing with it.

Re: Saints Row IV
Hold on now, SR3 itself was made on a completely new and revamped engine. I see nothing wrong with the new having similarities to the previous one. Especially when it's NEW.
Re: Saints Row IV
What are you talking about? Who said using the same engine was not a good idea? I'm saying it looks just like SR3 in too many ways.. the city even looks like Steelport.
Vice City and San Andreas didn't run on different engines, but they look like two completely different games.

Anyboo, some deets about the game
In Saints Row IV, the head honcho of the Saints has been elected to the Presidency of the United States. But the Saints are just getting started. Now the larger-than-life insanity of the Saints series gets a new twist with a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarro-Steelport simulation. Wield gargantuan superpowers and fight to free humanity from alien granddaddy Zinyak’s mental grasp. Escape the simulation that’s trapped the Saints crew, or die trying.
Saints Row IV lets players delve into an arsenal of alien weaponry and technology that will
turn each Saint into an ultimate entity of destruction. Utilize out-of-this-world superpowers to fight all the way to the top. With intensified action and enhanced customization, players can use their newfound superpowers and leap over buildings, outrun the fastest sports cars, or send enemies flying with telekinesis in the greatest, most insane installment of Saints Row yet.

Re: Saints Row IV
Still sounds like a modified SR3, but i'm not gonna spend time hating on it. I like the idea.
I do feel bad tho, for those SR fans that wanted a more SR2 experience.

Re: Saints Row IV
Okay so this game has co op like before and a multiplayer mode that allows us to fight..I think.
Re: Saints Row IV
I really do recommend it if you're looking for something fun to do.
I don't wanna spoil it, but I think the map was a little different when I played it. I can't remember if it was exactly the same in SR3, but it seems like there's more of a city in there.

Re: Saints Row IV
Looking back I prefer SR2 and 3 more this one got too weird imo it was still a really good game but if I wanted to play Mass effect I would play Mass effect.
Re: Saints Row IV
I only ever played 3 before. I liked how over the top it was, cause i would eventually get bored of GTA, give up on the story and just go on a rampage.

Re: Saints Row IV
Never got it either.. minus the one 30 mins I spend with Gat out of Hell from plus. I loved 3, probs for the best to end on a high with the series. Agents of Mayhem might be fun tho.
