Helena has been nerfed badly.

Helena only used 2 safe attacks. The Lisa player just never punished anything.
- P+K doesn't crush anymore.
- Her damage is terrible. Even when a danger zone is involved, her damage is still lackluster.
- Did you see BKO go under anything? Hmm...
- PP2KP is gone. Her main juggle ender... is gone.
- How many mid-punches did you see? Hmm...
- How many unholdable stuns did you see? Hmm...

Also to top it all off, her ground game is gone too everything that made her a beast in 4 is gone.

They said they wanted to make Helena a very technical character and someone that requires effort to be good with. They did say they removed crouching properties from some things (i'll assume BKO) but that stance is said to be primarily used to avoid highs. I imagine if they want that to be the case, her high counters will also be terrible or not as rewarding as a BKO whiff punish.

I guess one way to make someone hard to be good with is to make them suck... phonebiblio

But i have faith in ha and will more than likely stick with her. DOA is just hella fun to play so i don't care if I'm crap at it at all.

This might mean we won't see much of her in tournaments, which is sad but I'll still use her.

Simply put, she has horrible tools but her saving grace is when she stuns you you will have a hard time stopping her.
