Re: Skullgirls
I remember seeing D. Violet's design a while back when I was looking up all the Skullgirls designs and I hope she's next after Squigly.

Re: Skullgirls
The next DLC after Squiggly has already been announced. It's the big saxophone guy in the Lab stage, i think he's called Big Band. He's gonna be a charge character and i'm assumin a grappler (i dont remember if his playstyle has given)
Kinda a mess choice for their first male character tbh. Bigger mess tat he is gettin in before the baby kween Umbrella.

Re: Skullgirls
I don't think SG even deserves this support..that money could be donated to something better if they are willing to give it away like that.
And Mrs.Victoria is disgusting. Black Dahlia is the only one that can match Parasoul.

Re: Skullgirls
Gorl bye, it's great to see games have support from their community and its even better to see games do well in their kickstart foundation thingies. They did just raise alot of money for breast cancer not so long ago too
I think the majority of people that donated were people that were gonna get squiggly anyway (she's free for everyone for a while and they mentioned in the video if u were plannin on buyin her then to please donate at least $5 cos i think that standard dlc char price tag)
And then u ave people that went for the packages that include the PC version for free, and there obvs r people willin to buy that anyway, so in reality they didn't donate much and just made an early purchase.
As for the gorls that went for those $100+ packages, i just don't no... beyond fanboyism

Re: Skullgirls
Well obvs it would be great if it works out for them. But the game was not fun and felt so unfinished for the amount of delays there was. Really they should repackage it and add a good 12 more characters and more polished presentation. Also why did they make Filia fat? she looked great in the concept arts, in fact the artstyle was so much better.

Re: Skullgirls
If people like the game and want to support it, why not? Like ???????????
I don't understand.

Re: Skullgirls
The artstyle in that concept is pretty much identical to the one in the game, and i agree so looks much better skinnier. Guess they wanted to pay homage to capcom's thing with chun li's thighs...
And did u get the update patch for it? Alot of the SG fans said it made the game soo much better and it improved the netcode. I haven't gotten the patch but i probably should, the only thing puttin me off it as that the online isn't lobby style and just a dumb 1v1 room. But they did remove the region lock online had, so yay
But the real kii is u sayin they need to add way more characters. They r tryin to do that and thats why they need this money which u say they don't deserve

Re: Skullgirls
Naw they had a much more traditional anime look before, now they've gone all Scott Pilgrim on us.
And I meant based on what they put out before, but I didn't even DL the patch either, so I guess we could try it out this weekend. I guess some people just have more faith in them.

Re: Skullgirls
Oh right, in terms of when it first dropped it could've done with a much bigger roster. But sure if we look at the company now, it wouldn't have gotten the game finished if it went for the bigger roster and it would either be completely dropped or this donation drive would be for a lot more money for a product hardly anyone had the chance to play.

Re: Skullgirls
I'd rather have real good gameplay w a few balanced characters then an unbalanced mess.
Roster size don't make a fighting game. Though it's nice to have variety, it means nothing when the characters themselves are rushed messes.
girl to the bye

Re: Skullgirls
No one said roster size makes a fighting game, but when you have a game that allows 3v3 with 8 characters (one a crafty recycle of them all) it's not gonna help the games lifespan and I said the game itself wasn't even that fun from what I've played.
Re: Skullgirls
From what you've played.
You said you don't think it deserves the support and the thing about them adding 12 characters.
Just lettin you know that if they would have had more characters then the gameplay quality itself would suffer = no one would want to support this game = lack of support in adding more characters.
I've only played the demo but I enjoyed it a lot and am looking to buy the full game later on.
Idk I guess being soulcalibur stan kinda mellowed me out about fighting game content considering the length of development time and costs.

Re: Skullgirls
Considerin the amount of attention this company is givin each character, the balancin would've been the same no matter how many characters they have. It's just the game would take a big hit in development time. Squiggly is gonna take two months to make and thats them just workin on her and her alone.

Re: Skullgirls
Um if u say so but considering what they don't have I'm not too sure about that
I don't follow this team so I don't know what goes with what time but all I'm saying is its good they're not rushing the characters themselves and putting them out there slowly while not doing them all at once and then blam gotta patch that u know what I'm sayin g??????? That one character is effin expensive too I would have never thought it would cost that much.

Re: Skullgirls
Wait no I had to read that again I'm just sayin be considerate of what they gotta work with when it comes to time.
Re: Skullgirls
Actually idk what am goin on about, am saying what i'd like to think they'd be doin cos its the impression they seemed to give off. In reality, those bum bitches made cuts to the roster so they could stick to their release schedule rather than pushin back the release date but it was in the name of quality for their 8 characters.
And ya, when i first saw that cost i was like "dayum" but now after a while it actually makes sense and is reasonable.

Re: Skullgirls
Oh wow, i just found out that all DLC characters that r funded through their indiegogo thing will be made free for three months. I thought it was only gonna be Squiggly and definitely not for that long.
If i was able to do online purchasin and what not, i'd probs contribute in memory of baby kween Umbrella

Re: Skullgirls
They at $220,000+ now and still have over 25 days to go. Obvs the donations have slowed down dramatically since the people that really wanted to do it did it day 1, but if this day 2 slow creepin keeps up then the whole $600,000 needed for all 3 will easily be reached.
Although i'm kinda expectin the whole thing to fall to a halt around the $300,000 mark

Re: Skullgirls
Feng is super cute! screams a Jam Kuradoberi of SG, so she needs to be in the game. Wish they gave her a more original name tho.
