I had some really great matches with Aries again today, at first I was a little distracted because of the Tanya news. 

I pretty much found the characters I'm gonna focus on. Jacqui, Sonya, and Kitana (once Tanya comes out and she isn't difficult to use I'll drop Kitana probably). Mileena just isn't for me and I haven't even touched D'Vorah outside of story mode.

Sonya was my secondary in MK9 and playing her CO variation feels so natural. I'll be honest I haven't really touched her until I played with Aries the last time and when I did at first I didn't really know how to play her but idk what it was something just clicked at some point this time and it was nice. Before today all I knew was Military Stance and the projectile and the 2,1,3,4 lmao. 

I just really like how I played her today. I did a lot of bold things, like running up and doing an x-ray and catching his Mileena out of the air in the middle of her start up x-ray. That was hype as hell. 

I just gotta figure out how to play against Scorpion, because a lot of what he can do really confuses me and Kenshi is just . I'm having a lot of trouble with characters that have teleports.

I was using Shotgun at first, but I didn't like it. I mean I liked the low stun but I just cannot do the mid-range stuff and it sucks getting in. I'll never touch High Tech tho. FA Jacqui has really great pressure imo.

For Kitana Mournful just doesn't appeal to me and Royal Storm is alright sometimes, but her down back 3 in Assassin is worth it. The newest patch gave her a new low too. 

I think I'd be more interested in either the tonfa variation or the fire one. Can't wait to see a trailer

The new skins are kinda ok. the Brazilian skins are questionable, but like IDK how to feel about that gaucho Kung Lao...

Not sure what he's like in MKX but in every other game just block for your life tbh because they're so predictable and try that teleport punch all the damn time. My friend plays as him but he's really terrible, hardly knows his moves and just spams that whenever we play. It's uppercut-city when he uses his teleport.

I love the teleport abusing scorpions, so easy to punish. But thats my biggest issue at the moment, figuring out my best punishers and what is actually fast enough to punish certain strings.

MKX Scorpion has an annoying three hit string thats a low, high(?) and overhead. I could not punish it to save my life (i was using Kitana and trying to do 2,1 into combo) so i guess I gotta work on that. I pray it isn't safe because no string that ends in an overhead should be safe. MK is not a game I want to be attempting crouching a high during a string and punishing the whiff... unless the follow ups are also high.

Side note, yas at the recent balance patch. Kitana's b3 low is a combo starter and its great for people that don't know to abuse crouch block against ha. At a long range you will miss the Fan Lift combo, but not if you're Royal Storm. And i wanna try Mournful Kitana but losing the fan projectiles is too much for my basic combo ability

Just spent like 3 hours playing Test Your Luck online against the one Ermac player. Fuck me that mode can be fun but a complete and utter dick at times.

I really do not know my punishment in this game, but even trying a 1,1 as Kitana didn't seem to work. I think i'm gonna have to go on TYM at some point just so i don't go insane

Has anyone found any good videos (w/o seeing the ugly people in the corner streaming cuz they think we wanna c them) of people playing yet? I see some tournament videos here and there, but never with characters I actually use or even like.

It's been two weeks since Jason. Where is the justice??

Well, the first week was like a special access week for KP owners, so I'd expect Tanya to be released next week meaning she'll be available for KP owners.

But thats 3 weeks between each DLC and she already there behind a lock... Eugh. How long was Jason there before the store let us dl him?

EDIT: Actually let me not think about that cause Jason showed up on 18th April and wasn't playable til 5th May. I refuse to wait til June Boon.

Look at it this way, it would be two weeks from when he was released for everyone. Like I said the KP was so you can play them a week earlier than their actual release.
