Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
That's closer than I thought..it's closer than TT2?
Seriously?
Why don't they explain the god Akira gracing the game with his appearance? Is he a guest character?

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Most likely yes, Hayashi has expressed his like for a VF X DOA crossover so this is a start.
September seems realistic to me since Akira a guest character is done so the rest must be on the same level of completion as well.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Awesome stuff anyway, just waiting on Helena, Kokoro, Jann lee and Bayman.
But even if they all don't make it, it's a day 1 buy..Akira Yuki.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
She is isn't she? the gameplay is on point, no more wall bounce, no ground bounce, the holds and power blows are not overpowered. The game so far is balanced even with all the crazy stage mechanics. This game will shit this year, to be honest this game visually shits on all of the others and really looks next gen.

!!!!!
I was expecting a great game but this just looks beyond amazing! And a september release date is really close considering it was only announced and in preAlpha at TGS. Especially with the guest character being shown already they must be alot further in development than they have been appearing to let on. Even though it will kill me to not now what is going on every step of the way, I'm here for a fighting game to not reveal everything before release date for once this gen. I mean we've only get 6 months left and we've only seen 6 characters, even at that only 4 of those do we know r 100% done and the DOA roster is normally 20+ strong.
I am ready to be slayed! Power blow my peen away TN!

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
But yeah this game has much needed improvements and seems to retain the speed of DOA4. And yes this game seems much further along in development than we realized. They are holding off on revealing everything to keep us wanting more.Sassy_Sasquatch wrote:Ariesboy88 wrote:She is isn't she? the gameplay is on point, no more wall bounce, no ground bounce, the holds and power blows are not overpowered. The models shit on the other fighters and video games in general minus Uncharted, they look life like. And did you see Kasumi's clothes and hair get dirty and wet?
I wonder how Lisa and Christie look.
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
I didn't notice it much on Kasumi since she is wearing a darker colour, but with Akira wearing squeaky clean white u couldn't miss the dirt & wet details.
What was that thing namco tried again?

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
I was so busy spazzing over Akira forgot to say how amazing Kasumi looks and she reminds me of someone famous which is a good thing, considering it's in game stuff. I can't believe the stage the most tho..is all that actually happening in a match?
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
Yes it is, it's all part of the "fighting entertainment" thing they keep talking about.
And you are not the only one who said that about Kasumi, i too think she looks familiar with someone else.

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
They've really stepped up the game. I'm excited to see how other companies react to it

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
In Famitsu this week, Team Ninja master Yousuke Hayashi reveals that it was he who asked Sega to let Team Ninja include Akira in the game. "Ask" may not be the right word -- something closer to attacking Sega in order to get approval would be more accurate.
Gorl, where is ur dignity?
And i am here for more VF characters, but it'll probably end up bein Sarah or Pai and i don't care for either them. I'll use Sarah, but she ain't my fave

I completely forgot about her. She would work well in DOA

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
So it seems September 25th is the concrete date.
If Team Ninja can make their game look this good on a console then why cant Namco make TTT2 look just as good as the arcade version?
Models that look like real people, real dirt and wet effects, realistic lighting and shadows.
And very interactive environments all with a steady 60 FPS frame rate

Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
A few do actually. And I see nothing wrong with better looking character models, imagine Michelle and Kunimitsu on TN engine
Re: Dead or Alive Hype Train
realism isn't a priority for me. as long as they ain't ugly
