Games get cancelled all the time why he thinks it's unrealistic to buy into the rumor for a game in 6 year development hell is beyond me.

The doomsday thing is a nice idea, but not for final fantasy and not for the main premise of the game... Final Fantasy always allowed takin the game at ur own pace, staying at places to grind and goin off the main path for a little exploration. Givin the play only 13 days of game time (which constantly counts down and decreases faster with certain player actions) is gonna make the player rush...
It also screams to me that the game will be fairly short for a FF game.

And that reason to wait for FFVersus is bullpoo. Nothin about that game has ever given the feelin of nostalgic final fantasy, and from the direction they said they wanted to take the game from the very start, nothin of it ever will. And thats ok because it still looked good. It looked like next gen FF, and thats what we want.

I still haven't played XIII-2 yet.

Is it better or worse than XIII? Because I, somewhat, liked that one.

I've treated 13-2 like u treat SFxT. I refuse to get it. It looks dumb and i didn't exactly care for 13.

Battles seem to play out pretty similar, if not the exact same, to battles in 13. U control one character, u have paradigm shifts and u pretty much just press X for Jason Auto-Battle all day.

Even though the entire FF fandom hate it, and the main cast of characters are hugely unpopular?

XIII-2 has a ridiculous story it's worse than XIII, the gameplay and environments are nice enough but it was critically panned by japanese players and american players alike.

Serah was not a good protagonist and Noel her companion was shoehorned in and it felt like it.
Noel felt like he was more of the MC than Serah

I didn't buy the game based on principal, they lied until all the way up to E3 that Lighting was going to have a huge role but only appears in the beginning and again in ONE cutscene.

I played it at a friends and somehow the battle system in that game bored me than in the original XIII.

There is a reason why the game dropped to 20 bucks new in 5 months

Square has had a horrible track record lately so it's only natural for us to be cynical.
But yes the game does sound awesome but will they be able to execute it properly?.
This game takes place hundreds of years after XIII-2 and it seems like it will ignore all events from XIII-2 as theres no mention of serah at all.

So idk how this game will go but the concept of exploring a huge world and X-2 dressphere teas have me intrigued.

Lightning returns will run 24 hours a day in real time and will have day and night cycles.

So Lightnings new outfit was revealed and it is god awful
