Really ?! Capos are like the most popular characters among non-Tekken fans. Even my father remember Eddy Gordo from T3.
They are also appealing to newcomers, and that's what Namco want with T7, to attract newcomers. So I don't understand why Namco would get rid of them.

I don't want LC to be the new "capo". Eeww.

I remember the excuse being thrown around about animation difficulties? Ya, its kinda hard to believe whenever there were capos in 6 games before this. With the roster cut I expect at least one capo to go anyway, but I won't cry if both go since I don't use them and they can be annoying as feck to fight against.

Katarina is the new character to attract newcomers, they've already admitted it and it's easy to see with the revealed string inputs so far. Granted I don't think she'll do the job as well as capos or even Hwo in the button mash to victory department.

Why doesn't the Tekken team realise the only reason "iconic" outfits work with SF is because they are made fresh looking with the different art style of each game, but even then it is just lazy af. Tekken never changes the graphic style just upgrades so it's getting very stale visually.

And yeah, the iconic excuse doesn't work here because they had new defaults in every game up to 5 and now he wants to pull that mess?

Part of what makes Tekken interesting and iconic is due to the new outfits to begin with. It showed progress in the character and storylines.

Tekken 4 may have been a huge flop but it did get some things right.
The darker atmosphere,the outfits,the story and Xiaoyu not being a lovesick anime archetype.

Her CG was more mature and then they made her look 13 in her TTT2 render. Mad

!!! Right?? Xiaoyu was so flawless in Tekken 4. ugh TTT2 did her wrong with that baby face and 12 year old voice actress. She's still an amazing character and I don't mind how she looks in T7, but T4 did her the most justice.

I was hoping to see the new characters too. Like maybe giving tidbits of their backstory like Tekken 6's arcade intro did. idk I just really want to see any kind of Shaheen footage.

Shaheen's model is a major cut above the rest. Maybe this is the added quality Harada talked about?.
I expect the final release to look better by a large margin.

The detailing on his outfit and the flowiness of his head scarf is so amazing. He is so amazing. He is my husband.

Also I am so glad that his hands look small bc Tekken's hand-sizes and overall proportions have always been just a lil wonky (Asuka, gorl)
