Yoshi became shit in 6 and improved in Tag 2.
Pretty much did unnecessary changes to his moveset and got affected the most due to his array of moves.

The time they are taking with Nina and Anna is making me slightly nervous.

Oooh, yeah that makes sense. Having a lot of moves can be difficult to balance. I don't think I would be too worried about Nina, TR seems to be a bit close to what T7 is turning into... she's good in that game apparently. She could still end up bad tho.

Anna is one they like to f over tho, nerfing her for no reason. I hate the fact that she has to work twice as hard as Nina. I hope they bring back her taunt, make her strings better, give her some safety, etc.

Nina may have 80 million moves but you don't need them all. It probably just seems easier for Nina than it is for Anna because she has more moves, so naturally she'd have a higher number of useful moves (while also having a higher number of bum moves). And i think a big part of Nina is that fact she has so many SS cancel's and SS1 that goes into qcf or qcb dashes and overall helps her offence greatly against someone that can't cope with it.

Anna as like fewer moves to transition with that, no SS1 equivalent, and her uf4,3,4 is a million times harder to make come out than Nina's, which i don't get cause Nina does have a UF4 as well, and thats like one of the most standard of Nina's SS cancels cause the low normally hits.

And i like what they did with Yoshi in T6. Sure it feels dumb that his sword can be blocked in alot of moves, but at the same time it was dumb her had a sword that was rarely used. Still waitin for Raven to use those daggers.

But Yoshi being changed made sense, so I doubt Nina will get the T6 Yoshi treatment. I'd say if any sister is getting changed, it'd be Anna, but I don't see it happening.

I really don't see Jinppachi being in from a gameplay perspective but will appear in the story. Eddy would be cut before Christie and Bob is going nowhere.

Raven is not going either.

Christie has gotten way more attention in recent years than Eddy.

Damn, that's true. I just can't shake the feeling that she's been replaced by Katarina.

Think about it, Harada's going on about Tekken being "worldwide" now. I'm gonna be a little worried about Christie and the fact that WOC (sans Asian women) are still being underrepresented.

My biggest disagreements with that is Kuni & Jinpachi. I love Kuni but i don't see it happening. Jinpachi is a defo no no. He's a flashback cutscene at best.

Kinda disagree about Jun too. I'd love her to come back, obvs, but again, I don't see it happening. Namco may be ptting on some big boy boots with the story givin the initial trailer, but lets not forget T6's plot and what it delivered. Jun's return brings too much that they have to answer, so it's easier to say she isn't dead but leave her out. And the longer they leave it, the worse it'll be to try deal with.

Also, not sure about Lee, as I feel Katarina could be replacing him.

But i mean Tekken hasn't really cut anyone since T4 (was finna say since T3 but Anna, lol, and Jinpachi was unplayable until DR so he don't count), it's gonna be weird no matter who they cut. (Bob bye)

Mokujin will make it. Or Combot. There'll be that mimic character somewhere.

I'm praying that whichever Chang joins in that they look more of color. Like Michelle is half Chinese and half Native American, her features should not be lookin' so white. Like they at least look darker in game but aside from Jaycee's render, both of them have been portrayed in the art as so light-skinned I don't get it??

I honestly think Ganny is coming back or is being replaced with a younger (even female) model and pretty sure we're getting at least 3 more new characters. Eliza being one would be disappointing, but at the same time I never unlocked her and she looks fun..just hope they fix her hair.

I cannot stand Japanese devs whitewashing their games. This is one of the biggest issues I have with both DOA and VF. And Soulcalibur.

I feel like in their eyes, dark skin isn't seen as beautiful or effeminate (Vanessa is a prime example of this). The black male characters all have dark skin (not sure what race Marduk is), but only one female character with really tan skin (Christie) who's race has never been confirmed. That bugs the hell out of me.

For Julia, I think they've done an OK job. I never really saw her as white, but her CG art usually is a few shades lighter. Could she be darker? Definitely. Katarina looks good tho.

That's why I'm really hoping they keep Zafina. There's no reason to cut her at all, especially since you're claiming that your game is "worldwide". Because what other games have Middle Eastern women as interesting playable characters? I think a reason I'm kinda on the fence about LC now (even tho I do really like her) is the fact that she could have been black or another race. We have enough white blonde girls in this game.

I agree with what you're saying.
Jinpachi and Kunimitsu.... I don't really see them being in the game. Jinpachi can stay dead and far away.
Jun? I'm not sure. On one hand, we got Asuka (they play so different)... But at the same time we can't deny her popularity and relevance to the story. I don't think they would leave her out.

I guess we gotta look forward to the time release characters and console versions of the game to really get anything else out of this roster when the next loc tests happen sometime in January.

Riley is amazing.
I just mean the concept Naughty Dog had for a fake fighting game being better than japanese devs is very telling.
They don't even make fighting games and came up with an interesting dark skinned female.
