Gamers Generation's All time best game?

Got inspired by a vid of these people making a list of their fave games of all time and they have to kill off a game from each person's list to see which game stays to the end.

So I'm thinking we could all make a list of games..maybe our top 5 of all time and we pile it up into one big list and then we then we all decide which game to remove from the list til we get to a final two, which then we decide what game deserves to win. Are you all up for it?

I guess PM will make it more interesting, since you'll all be hit with a big list at once. I'm wondering how many games should we make it? 5 per person seems so small, but will add up to a large list..tho there could be multiple nominations for some games.

Sweet! I can see myself rooting for 2 of those games to win overall. 

I'm down for this. 5 games does seem small but there can only be one winner so it's fine.

Now which 5 Tekken games to pick

5 Tekken games? I wonder who the 3 flops are. 

If we do end up with a lot of duplicates, we could maybe add on like 3 more games to each persons list.

Maybe with multiple like submissions of the same game gives it like multiple chances

I don't see the need to have the same game on the list multiple times though. Surely if we kicked it off once we'll just spend the next votes kicking off the duplicates

Jeez, and Tekken isn't even my favorite franchise anymore. It's the Dark Souls series, which comprises exactly five games, including Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, which puts me at a huge disadvantage as I'll be the only one voting for those. Can we, like, make this more interesting so it's not a giant list of Tekken games? Like, disallow any Tekken game to be picked? It'll be lame otherwise.

I see you reaching for the keyboard, but just relax.   Seriously though, how about one game per franchise should only be picked so that each person here doesn't list 5 installments of some given series (Tekken). Pick your favorite game of whatever given series (Tekken), and then list other games from different series (not Tekken).

Have a little bit more faith in the gurls Melee, they may already be aware how dumb that would be.

Well I would have also liked to be forced not to pick every Souls/Borne game as well, but ah well, maybe I'll just do that anyway.

This forum seems messed up atm, I posted earlier to Melee and it seemed to been removed and then posted a reply again and now the original post is back and the new one is gone. 

@Melee Well no one else picked more than one game from a series so far, we could force it to one game per franchise, but at the same time, I just find it an awkward rule, because like just purely as an example, Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 10 are so different and have different fanbases themselves, that it's reasonable for a person to have both in their list. I think it's fine if you do, it's your list tbh.

This thread is a mess to me now.   W/e tho, the forum seems stable again.

We have 25 games now, so really we only need one more list have have a top 30 games debate going.

I sent a list. I hate narrowing a list down but I just thought of the first 5 I played a lot and didn't think about it too much

I think I'm gonna post the list in alphabetical order and basically we'll start off with ranking the games we think least deserve to win. This way makes it less about us trying to get our own list of games to do well and more about collectively deciding on the best games. But of course, what we all think are the best games is obvs gonna be different. If there are games we can't seem to agree on kicking off the list, we'll go for votes. The fact there's 7 of us will always have that tiebreaker this way. 

Also, if you really wanna change something in your list, let me know soon, I'm thinking of posting it tonight.

I will admit, that someone nominated 2 games I would have myself, but everyone had unique lists and I didn't want it to be spoiled by making it uneven by 2 games, so I fitted in 2 different games for my list instead.

Anyways, how you all feeling the list? I think it's gonna be a tough call.
